Commissions

There is something truly special about commissioning artwork.

It ‘s an opportunity for the artist and the buyer to create a one-of-a-kind piece…together.

Collaborate with me!

Give a timeless gift for any occasion or commission a meaningful piece to remember a loved one.

By combining my love of art, photography, and vintage imagery with the written word, poetry and paint, I can make real and imagined lives intersect.

I will create something you and your family will treasure for generations to come.

(Almost) anything is possible. I invite you to free your imagination and feel confident in expressing any special ideas or wishes for your commission.

I’ll take you step by step through the planning during a free in person or video consultation.

If you would like to know more about how I work before contacting me, please take a look at my Studio Journal notes.

COMMISSION PRICING
$$$
I AM ABLE TO OFFER A WIDE RANGE OF PRICING OPTIONS DEPENDING ON THE SIZE AND DETAIL OF THE FINISHED PIECE.

Ready to do this?

There is no obligation until an agreement is signed.

1. Consultation

The client meets with the Donna for an initial consult to discuss the vision, goals, size, and price of the piece. If she feels she can do the work, she will take all of it back to her studio to develop.

2. Composition and Design

Donna spends time sketching out ideas using the information, photos, stories, and memorabilia collected from the initial consultation. She will have one more brief conversation with the client for final approval of the project.

3. Signed Agreement

Donna will email a commission agreement with all the details.
The client will sign and send back with 1/2 payment.
(Cash, check, Venmo, and PayPal)

4. Painting Process

Donna will create the artwork and follow the plan of the original design as much as possible (some personal and artistic license will inherently be a part of the process), to capture the personality, character and life of the subject. Depending on her schedule, average time is 2-4 weeks from start to finish.

5. Delivery

The completed painting is submitted to the client for final approval.
The other 1/2 of the total price is due upon delivery and acceptance of artwork.
Each piece comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.

Optional:

Framing:
Donna will have the piece custom framed for you at an additional cost or give recommendations for the frame selection process.

Sharing/Unveiling:
You may agree to have the finished piece photographed and shared on Donna’s portfolio page and/or social media pages. In addition, you may share a written review of the process and the finished work to be a part of future marketing.
